Techniques Anyone Can Use – Guaranteed to Catch Bass with Jack Wingate
Jack Wingate Helps Single-Parented Families Learn How to Fish
Editor’s Note: “Too-many people have tried to make bass fishing so difficult and complicated that some folks believe they can’t do it. That just ain’t so,” says Jack Wingate, owner and operator of Wingate’s Lodge on Lake Seminole in Bainbridge, Georgia.
“There are many single-parented families where the children don’t have a Daddy to take them fishing,” Jack Wingate, owner and operator of Wingate’s Lodge on Lake Seminole in Bainbridge, Georgia, says. “There are also kids who live with a Daddy who may be so busy making a living that he doesn’t have time to take them fishing. Or, if he does have time, maybe he doesn’t have the equipment or the know-how. So, we try and meet those needs. We have children sent in on the bus and plane to fish with us at Seminole. We pick them up at the station, put them to bed, get them up, feed them breakfast and then place them with a guide who provides all the tackle and bait they need to fish. We make sure the children eat three meals a day and get to bed at a decent hour. Then, when their trip is over, we take them back to the bus or plane and sendthem home. Some of the kids bring their parents and they get to fish together. We try to make fishing available for everyone who wants to go.”
Jack Wingate’s Lunker Lodge on Lake Seminole in a breath of fresh air in the bass-fishing world. Instead of making the sport of bass fishing highly technical and complicated for only the elite, Wingate simplifies the sport for everyone. He also makes fishing available to those who may be thought to be too young or too old or who lack the know-how to catch fish. Jack’s philosophy of bass fishing for everyone is a watchword for us all.
