The Bad Bird Bible Chapter 3, Verse 1- Brad Harris

"Several years ago I developed a tactic that worked on an ole bad bird," Brad Harris of Neosho, Missouri, vice president of Outland Sports that owns both Lohman's Manufacturing and M.A.D. Calls, said. "I met a gobbler that would come in, hang up at about 80 yards out from me and then gobble going away. Each time the bird gobbled going away, I'd give him some aggressive calls. Then he'd turn around and come back to the same spot where he'd hung up earlier.

"After the second or third time of calling that bird in, I moved 50 yards toward the spot where the bird had come to and then hung up each time. I sat down by a big tree, cupped my hand over my mouth and turned my head and threw the call back toward the place from where I'd been calling before. Although the turkey thought he was hearing the same hen calling from the same spot, this time when he came back and began to strut and hang up, he was within my gun range, and I took him.

"Many times when you're hunting a mature gobbler that will come to one place and then walk away, if you'll move close to where he hangs up and throw your call back to where you've been calling from before, you may take that bad bird."
