John's Journal... Entry 64, Day 5 Paying Attention to Deer to Know When to Shoot EDITOR'S NOTE: To know when to shoot, you must become a student of deer and their behavior, pay attention to the deer you're hunting and what they're doing and understand the moods and habits of deer. Reading a deer's body language to learn where to aim and what to anticipate will happen when you shoot. The deer's body language also will tell you what type of shot to expect. Those who take the time to assess the deer's mood and read the deer's body language will bag more deer with their guns or their bows than those who disregard the animal's expressions or the animal's demonstrated behavior as he comes in for the shot. Learn to read body language and to anticipate the deer's movement. You will shoot more accurately with your bow or your gun, bag more bucks and go home with more trophies.
